NCERT Steps Up Cyber Safety Education: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has highlighted the need for cyber safety education in school programs. With the rapid growth of the digital world, it is important for both students and teachers to be aware of Social Media and Cybersecurity.
This online teacher workshop not only ensures a safe online experience but also paves the way for a balanced relationship between users and technology.
NCERT CIET Training Aimed at Students and Teachers
Nowadays Mostly Students are active on various online platforms, making it important for them to understand the potential risks of their actions on social media. This ncert ciet training for teachers and students will give them the necessary tools to protect themselves.
For teachers,This NCERT CIET Workshop offers guidelines on how to help students use the internet safely and also how to secure their own online presence. Given the role of online platforms in modern education, such training is crucial.
Details of the NCERT CIET Online Training Series
CIET-NCERT, in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), is offering a five-hour online training on Social Media and Cybersecurity.
This CIET-NCERT Online Training from 30 October to 3 November 2023, between 4.00 pm and 5.00 pm, is designed to enhance understanding of social media’s role and the importance of cybersecurity. Those interested can watch the training live on the NCERT official YouTube Channel or via PMeVidya DTH TV Channels (#6-12) and the Jio TV mobile app.
Objectives of NCERT CIET Training Workshop
After completion of the ncert training series, the trainees will be able to:
- comprehend the policies and perspectives of cybersecurity and social media usage
- identify the need of social media and cybersecurity.
- comprehend the aspects of social media
- list ways of managing social media accounts while ensuring cybersecurity.
- define the role of various stakeholders in promoting cybersecurity.

Step 2: Watch live training sessions:
Participants have to attend training sessions, which will be live-streamed on NCERT Official YouTube channel –http://youtube.com/ncertofficial from October 30 – 03 November, 2023 at 4:00- 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday). The session will also be telecasted live on the following:
- PM eVIDYA channels #6-12
- DD Free Dish channel #28-34
- DISH TV channel #2027-2033
- Jio TV mobile app
If they missed the live Sessions, then watch the recording on the playlist. The link of the playlist will be updated on 30 October, 2023 in the event page.
Step: 3 Participation in Post-Session Activity and Certification:
Participate in the post session quiz, score 70% & above to get a certificate.

Assessment Opening Date: 30 October 2023 by 6 pm
Assessment Closing Date: 01 December 2023 by 6 pm
Participants are allowed to attempt the quiz thrice and those scoring 70% and above in the quiz will receive a certificate of participation in their registered mail ID or they can download the certificate from the same page.
