Student 1: A very good morning to My dear Colleagues, Respected Teachers and Respected Principal Sir/ Mam. Today, we gather not only to begin another academic day but to pay homage to two main pillars of India’s freedom struggle, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Both were born on this day, 2nd October. Their lives have been a beacon for generations, They always guiding us towards a path of righteousness and sacrifice.

Student 1: we are gathered together here today to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation.

Student 2: Today, we also celebrate the birthday of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji. Shastri Ji was a humble man who dedicated his life to serving the nation.

You can choose the style that will be comfortable for you.

Student 2: Indeed, the flag of our country reminds us of our past heroes. Every ripple in the flag is a testament to their hard work and sacrifice. Today, let’s talk about these leaders who made India great.

Student 1: We are blessed to have been led by such exemplary figures. On this special occasion, we would like to request our honorable chairman sir/ma’am and respected principal ma’am/sir to pay their respects by garlanding the statues or photo of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Musical Ode to the Mahatma

Student 1: To cherish the memories and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, we have a musical rendition of his beloved hymn, Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. I would like to invite our talented classmates from grade 9 on stage for this.

Student 2: This hymn, as many of us know, was frequently sung during the Dandi March. It’s keeping the spirits of the marchers high. It resonated with Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and became synonymous with his ideology.

Dramatic Insight into Their Lives

Student 1: To delve deeper into the lives and ideologies of these two legends, our students from grades 9 and 10 will present a beautiful skit. This act will shed light on Gandhiji’s ideology, his contributions towards India’s independence, and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s dedication to the nation.

Student 2: Post the skit, Anirudh from class 10th will deliver a amazing speech. This speech offering a deeper dive into the illustrious lives of these two great personalities. The lessons from their lives are timeless and ever-relevant.

Student 1: Gandhiji’s teachings of ‘See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil’ have been symbolized through his three monkeys. It’s a profound message of leading a righteous life. Let’s invite Manvi from class 9 to shed more light on this.

Important Tip:This segment can be portrayed through a speech, a play, a poem, or even a song, highlighting the significance of the three monkeys in Gandhiji’s teachings.

Student 2: As we come to the end of this assembly, let’s carry forward the lessons and teachings of these great leaders. As the song Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram plays, it’s time for the students to proceed to their classes.
