Set a software lesson’s recording area with the menus open, before you record the full explanation. The starting window may fit neatly while the command you’re teaching opens a panel outside that boundary. Viewers need to see the option you choose, including enough surrounding labels to find it themselves.
Rehearse the click sequence and stop at its widest view. Enlarge the application text if necessary, then choose a capture area that includes the required dialog. Avoid tightening the frame around the first screen and assuming every later step will fit.
Check the captured menu before teaching the whole lesson
The CapCut capture routes for a software demonstration distinguish Desktop, Web and phone workflows. Use the route for the device you’re demonstrating on. If your recorder offers a selected region, check its boundary after opening the menu; a tab recording and a desktop recording can include different parts of the same action.
Save a short rehearsal and watch it without relying on the live application beside it. Can you see the menu’s name, the chosen option and the result of the click? If a separate window is missing, change the capture setup before repeating the explanation.
Keep the instruction clear of the control
A short label can name an unfamiliar command, but it shouldn’t cover that command. The steps for placing and timing a manual text label in CapCut show how to position the words and set their interval. Put the label in unused space and end it when it no longer helps the current step.
Play through the moment the menu opens. A clear corner in the opening frame may become the menu’s location a few seconds later. Move the label or change its timing rather than shrinking the menu until its options are unreadable.
Compare the original capture with the finished lesson. A menu missing from the original needs another recording; a menu visible there but absent from the edit calls for checking crops and overlays. Use CapCut Guide’s editing and troubleshooting index for the affected stage, then watch the saved lesson through the complete click sequence.
