Hence this day is celebrated as a national festival. On this occasion, there is a holiday in all schools, offices, factories, and institutions. Although the celebration of Independence Day is celebrated in every area of ​​the country, the grand and major event of the Government of India is held at the Red Fort of Delhi.

On this day, the lovely and respected Tricolor (Tiranga) is seen everywhere proudly waving in the air with its head held high.

On this day, the Prime Minister unfurls the national flag at the historic Red Fort. A 21-gun salute is given to the national flag. The national anthem is played and from the ramparts of the Red Fort, the Prime Minister addresses the entire country including the people sitting there.

His message to the country is shown live on every TV channel. Government buildings are bathed in lights during the night. The view of the lights on Delhi’s Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and India Gate is worth seeing.
