Respected Guests, the Respected Principal, All the teachers, parents and my dear friends are present here, as you all know that, today we have gathered here to celebrate the 76th Independence Day of Independence. First of all, I wish you all a very Happy Independence Day. 15 August is the national festival of independent India. The country of India became free from British invaders on 15 August 1947 only after fighting the freedom struggle till the year 1857- 1947 and became an independent nation. Indians celebrate this day as “Independence Day” with great enthusiasm and patriotism.
On 15 August 1947, the Constitution of India was written in golden letters. On this day when the country became independent, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, addressed the countrymen by hoisting the flag at the Red Fort. Since then, every year the Prime Minister of the country hoists the flag on the red lettering, the national anthem is sung, tribute is paid to all the martyred freedom fighters.
Every year the Prime Minister of the country addresses the countrymen by giving a speech full of enthusiasm. The army takes out its power show and parade march. On the day of Independence Day, there is full enthusiasm along with the feeling of patriotism in the minds of all Indians. After independence, the country of India has now started on the path of development.
On 15th August Independence Day, there is a holiday in all schools, colleges, educational institutions, markets, government and non-government offices and factories. This day is declared a national holiday. The national flag is hoisted at various places. Cultural programs are organized in schools, colleges etc. In which all the students participate and sing patriotic songs, some recite poetry and some dance on patriotic songs in cultural programs.
15 August is the day of pride and good fortune of India. This day infuses new energy, new hope, enthusiasm and patriotism in the heart of every Indian. Independence Day reminds us of how many sacrifices we have made to get this freedom, which we have to protect at all costs. Even if we have to sacrifice our lives for this.
