School Registration for participating in CBSE Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning (SAFAL).
To enhance educational standards and prioritize competency-based learning, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated registrations for the Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning (SAFAL) for the academic year 2024.
Safal initiative, rooted in the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It aims to revolutionize the way learning and understanding are measured in CBSE-affiliated schools.
SAFAL: A Step Towards Competency-Based Learning
SAFAL, first introduced in July 2021, successfully completed its pilot phase in February 2023, involving Grades 5 and 8 across 1887 CBSE-affiliated schools. The program is designed to diagnose students’ competencies in a structured manner, providing insights into their learning progress.
Registration Process for SAFAL 2024
Schools interested in participating in SAFAL 2024 can register from January 31 to February 20, 2024. The registration process is streamlined and accessible via the CBSE SAFAL portal using LOC Credentials. Schools can find the registration link and detailed information in Annexure-1 provided by CBSE.
Digital Mode of Assessment
Embracing modern technology, SAFAL assessments will be conducted digitally in schools equipped with the necessary infrastructure. This aligns with CBSE’s Circular No.10/2023 dated March 24, 2023.
The specific hardware and software requirements are detailed in Annexure-2, while Annexure-3 and Annexure-4 provide a user guide for registration and the format for data submission by schools.
