CBSE, in partnership with IBM, is going to organise the second edition of the ‘Future Tech Olympiad’.

Educational News: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), known for its innovative approach to education, has once again made headlines. In a recent development, CBSE, in collaboration with global tech giant IBM, has announced the second edition of the ‘Future Tech Olympiad.’ This follows the immense success of its first edition in February 2023 (ref. CBSE Circular No. Skill-23/2023 dated 02.02.2023).

Preparing Future Innovators

The ‘Future Tech Olympiad’, a unique initiative by CBSE and IBM, aims to assess and enhance students’ understanding of future technologies. This includes cutting-edge domains like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Cyber Security, and Data Science.

The CBSE IBM Future Tech Olympiad Olympiad is designed to prepare students to be the technology leaders of tomorrow, contributing to a Digital India.

Celebrating Academic Excellence and Innovation

In its first edition, the Olympiad witnessed overwhelming participation. Riding on this success, the second edition promises to be even more engaging. The top 500 students from this Olympiad will be awarded Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals, and every participant will receive a Participation Certificate. Remarkably, the top 20,000 students will be invited to join the ‘National Future Tech Challenge’, with top-performing schools receiving special recognition.

The Path to Participation

CBSE encourages maximum student participation, urging schools to register for the IBM FTO Olympiad. The Future Tech Olympiad Olympiad, whic is free for all CBSE-affiliated schools, is open to students from grades IX to XII. Participating schools can opt to conduct the Olympiad either online or offline, with a registration deadline set for 12th January 2024.

Essential Steps for Participation in CBSE IBM ‘Future Tech Olympiad’

For a student to participate, completing a learning path on IBM SkillsBuild is mandatory. Additionally, schools registering for the Olympiad will collaborate with IBM’s implementation partner, 1M1B.

  • Test Mode : Online
  • Eligibility : Class 9 to 12
  • Paper Style : MCQs Based (60 MCQs)

Rewards and Recognition

  • Top 25 students from each class (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th) will be awarded Gold Medals
  • Top 50 students from each class (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th) will be awarded Silver Medals
  • Top 50 students from each class (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th) will be awarded Bronze Medals
  • The top 20,000 students will be invited to the ‘National Future Tech Challenge’
  • The top-performing school will receive special recognition at a prestigious 1M1B event.
  • The best-performing teacher-in-charge will win an opportunity to be felicitated at a 1M1B event and will be given global opportunities/invite to the 1M1B Annual Summit.
  • All participants will receive certificates.
  • Top 50 schools with the most student registrations and their coordinators will receive recognition.

How to Register to Take the FutureTech Olympiad?

  1. Visit the official page for Olympiad exam registration: https://futuretecholympiad.com/
  2. Fill in the basic details such as School Name, Principal Name and Contact No., Teacher In-charge & Contact No., School Address, etc.
  3. School can prepare a list of participants and fill the ‘Student Detail form’
  4. Please double-check that all information is accurate.
  5. Enter the correct captcha and click on the button that says “Submit”.
