What is INSPIRE Awards – MANAK Scheme (2022-23)?
The INSPIRE Awards – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), is being executed by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India with National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST. The aim is to motivate students studying in classes 6th to 10th.
What is the Objective of INSPIRE Awards – MANAK Scheme (2022-23)?
The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/ innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children.
Eligibility for INSPIRE Awards – MANAK Scheme (2022-23)
It aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10.
How to Register INSPIRE Awards – MANAK Scheme (2022-23)?
Students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6th to 10th are invited to submit their ideas to their schools, which in turn should shortlist and submit the top 5 ideas through the E-MIAS web portal www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in in any Indian language.
Step 1: Click on the “Apply Now” Option and read the details carefully.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Registration‘ to register.
Step 3: After successful registration, select the ‘Student Nomination‘ Option.
Step 4: Fill in the student details, upload the photograph and submit it to generate the acknowledgment.
(Note – The schools who are already registered, kindly login using valid credentials.)

Cash Prizes and other Benefits of INSPIRE Awards – MANAK Scheme?
The best one lakh ideas / innovations will receive Rs. 10,000/- each and will get a chance to participate in District Level Competition. Ten per cent students will be shortlisted further to participate in State Level Competition.
Upto one thousand students will be mentored in different technological institutions and showcase their innovations at National level and finally, sixty innovative projects will be incubated completely (patent filing, value addition in technology and product development etc.) by NIF and will be displayed at the annual Festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (FINE).
The Inspire Awards Manak Scheme is aligned with the Action Plan for “Start-up India” initiative launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
CBSE requested to Every CBSE School encourage its students to actively participate in the INSPIRE Awards-MANAK program. The online nominations for the year 2022-23 will remain open till 30.09.2022.
