The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular advising all schools to observe Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024 from October 28, 2024, to November 3, 2024. This year’s theme is “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”. Schools are encouraged to organize various activities to promote integrity, probity, and honesty among students and staff.

Activities to be Organized During Vigilance Awareness Week

Schools are advised to engage students and staff in the following activities:

Display of banners, posters, and hoardings related to Vigilance Awareness Week to create awareness.

Administer the “Integrity Pledge” to students from Class X to XII, teachers, and staff members. The pledge is attached as Annexure 1.

Encourage everyone to take the e-pledge on the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) website at

pledge.mygov.in/cvc

Sensitize senior students about the ill-effects of corruption and encourage moral values.

Sensitize staff members to promote a culture of integrity, probity, and ethics within the school. Organize lectures, debates, quizzes, essay writing, and poster-making competitions on topics related to moral values, ethics, and good governance.

Hold seminars and workshops in schools focusing on the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week.
