Educational News: 25 schools in the Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts of Manipur have recently lost their affiliation with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This major decision was made because these schools lacked the necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the Manipur government.
State NOCs are very important documents required by the CBSE for any school seeking affiliation, ensuring they meet specific educational standards.
This decision’s impact became evident when these schools were removed from the CBSE’s School Affiliation Re-Engineered Automation System (SARAS 4.0). SARAS 4.0 provides up-to-date information about schools affiliated with the CBSE across India. The exclusion of these 25 cbse schools from the SARAS 4.0 list clearly indicates the seriousness of their administrative failings.
In response to this issue, the Manipur government has adopted a firm stance. It has announced that strict action will be taken against those found guilty of violating state education rules and CBSE regulations. This action by the manipur government highlights the importance of adhering to educational authorities’ guidelines.
It also serves as a warning, signaling that discrepancies or fraudulent activities in the CBSE affiliation process will not be overlooked.
In the official circular, it is mentioned – “Further, it is also clarifiod that necessary action will be initiated against those responsible for flouting rules and regulations of the State Government or of Central Board of School Education. If any school is found not following due process in the future, necessafy action will be inbated against them aiso, apart from
withdrawing of affiliation by competent authorty.”
The situation of these 25 schools in Manipur serves as a crucial wake-up and warning call for all educational institutions. It underscores the necessity of maintaining proper documentation and following the guidelines set by educational boards. For schools aiming to join prestigious educational boards like the CBSE, this incident emphasizes the need for complete compliance and transparency in all administrative processes.
