CBSE has written in its circular that the registration of students in class IX and XI is a very important process which helps CBSE to plan in advance to conduct the class X and XII examinations of these students in the next year. Another important aspect of registration is to communicate the personal details of the students to the parents so that if there is any mistake in the personal details of the concerned student it can be rectified before the conduct of class X/XII examination.
