The Punjab Government has initiated a comprehensive scheme, ‘Super 5000,’ to prepare students for competitive exams like NEET and JEE.

Punjab Govt NEET JEE Coaching program targets students from the Science group in class 12th across over 100 senior secondary government schools in Punjab.

In this Punjab super 5000 scheme, science lecturers from meritorious schools have been designated as nodal officers. Each nodal officer, appointed by the principal of their respective meritorious schools, will oversee a specific subject.

Their primary role is to disseminate information about competitive exams, including registration dates, exam schedules, and study material sources for it.

Additionally, these nodal officers will coordinate with their assigned schools to distribute this information. They will use many channels, which includes groups on social media and to do direct communication through school lecturers or teachers, to reach the students of schools.

Super 5000 Punjab Govt Education Initiative

Beyond just sharing information, the subject teachers will actively engage in preparing students for these exams, providing quality study materials and extra online classes for doubt clearing.

The scheme emphasises a selection process where the most promising students, constituting about 10 percent of the class 12th science group in each school, are chosen.

For instance, in a class of 14 science students, only one will be selected, while in larger groups of 15 to 24 students, two will be chosen.

This Initiative to Prepare Students for NEET and JEE is only aimed at identifying or finding students who are both academically bright and best for it.

The State Vidya Khoj and Shikhalai Parishad have communicated with District Education Officers and Principals of the Meritorious Society to streamline this selection process.

The goal of this initiative for students is to prepare these school students effectively for JEE, NEET and many other competitive exams.

Under ‘Super 5000,’ a total of 5000 deserving students across Punjab will be identified and nurtured. Super 5000 Scheme program represents a significant step by the Punjab Government towards enhancing the academic prospects of its bright young minds.
