Applications Open for Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has announced the commencement of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2024.
As a prestigious national award, the PMRBP recognises and celebrates the exceptional abilities and achievements of young minds across a wide range of fields. The application process is now open, with entries accepted only through the National Awards Portal (https://awards.gov.in) until August 31, 2023.
Honouring Outstanding Achievements in Diverse Fields
The PMRBP 2024 acknowledges remarkable contributions in various domains including Bravery, Sports, Social Service, Science & Technology, Environment, Arts & Culture, and Innovation. Any Indian citizen under the age of 18, residing in India, may apply or be nominated for this illustrious award.
Who is Eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024?
The PM Bal Puraskar Award considers any act, incident, or achievement that occurred within the two years leading up to the final application/nomination date.
However, it is noteworthy that previous recipients of this award, or its predecessor the National Child Awards for Exceptional Achievement, are ineligible to apply.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024 Recognition and Prizes
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024 bestows more than just recognition. Awardees will receive a medal, a certificate and a citation, along with a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000.
The maximum number of PM Bal Puraskar awardees is set at 25, although this cap can be adjusted at the discretion of the National Selection Committee.
Nomination for Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024
Various government departments, educational institutions, and social justice organizations can nominate deserving candidates. These include State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, District Collectors/District Magistrates, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and several central and state educational boards, among others.
The PMRBP 2024 Selection Process and Award Ceremony
All applications undergo preliminary scrutiny by the Screening Committee, with the National Selection Committee making the final selections.
The Pradhan Mantri Bal Puraskar 2024 (PMBP) Awards winners will be announced on December 26, ‘Veer Bal Diwas’, and the awards will be presented by the President of India at a special ceremony held in New Delhi in January.
