The competition is being organized by the World Trade Organization (WTO). It aims to promote the Young Economist for high quality research on trade policy and international trade cooperation. The winning essay can be submitted to the WTO Working Paper Series.
Eligibility: Issues of trade policy and international trade co-operation should be prominently covered in the essay. Candidate should have at least a PhD degree or doing a PhD. Essays should not exceed 15,000 words. If the age of the candidate is more than 30 years then he should not be more than two years after completing his PhD.

Eligibility: Entry must be published or broadcast between 10 March 2021 to 9 March 2022. Entries submitted in languages other than English, French, Spanish, German or Portuguese will be judged on the basis of translation.
What to get: Three prizes will be awarded under the competition. These include the Grand Prize, the Europe Prize and the Best Emerging Journalist Prize. An amount of about Rs. 8.39 lakhs will be provided to the winner of each category.
