The National Testing Agency (NTA) is now accepting applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2023, the entrance test for the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). Interested candidates are advised to submit their applications before the deadline, July 19, 2023.
National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2023 Details
The NTA has taken up the mantle to conduct the NCET 2023, inviting online applications for admission into the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session of 2023-24. The programme is available in selected Central/State Universities/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges.
The NCET 2023 is set to be held in 178 cities across India, conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam comprises 160 questions to be attempted, scheduled over multiple days and in two shifts, subject to the number of candidates and their subject preferences.
NCET 2023 Examination Medium
Adhering to the National Education Policy (NEP), the NCET 2023 will be available in 13 different languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
NCET 2023 Syllabus Breakdown
The NCET 2023 will assess candidates on the following areas:
- Language: This segment will test language proficiency through Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary.
- Domain Subject: Questions for this section will be based on Class 12 syllabus.
- General Test: This portion includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
