The Government of India has given the nod to the inception of 100 new Sainik Schools in collaboration with NGOs, Private Schools, and State Governments, progressing in a graded manner starting from Class 6th.
To solidify this initiative, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been inked between the Sainik Schools Society and 19 New Sainik Schools spread across the nation.
Raksha Mantri’s Approval Boosts the New Sainik Schools Tally
Post a comprehensive assessment of the applications submitted for the launch of new Sainik Schools under the partnership model, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh green-lighted the establishment of 23 New Sainik Schools.
This strategic move surges the count of new Sainik Schools functioning in partnership to 42, complementing the 33 Sainik Schools that operate under the previous model.
Prime Minister’s Vision Behind the New Sainik Schools
The core intention behind Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s foresight of initiating 100 new Sainik Schools is to offer premier education to scholars, harmonizing with the National Education Policy.
This will facilitate superior career avenues, inclusive of positions in the Armed Forces. Furthermore, it carves a pathway for the private sector to synergize with the Government, molding the current generation into accountable future citizens.

Beyond their primary affiliation to specific educational boards, these new Sainik Schools will operate under the guidance of the Sainik Schools Society. They will adhere to the stipulated rules and guidelines set for new Sainik schools in partnership.
Alongside their standard curriculum, an added emphasis on the ‘Academic PLUS’ curriculum tailored for the Sainik school pattern will be provided.
