Online Training on Elevating Teaching – Learning Dynamics on DIKSHA – 17 to 21 June
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 highlights the critical role of teachers in shaping education. To ensure continuous professional growth, the NEP mandates 50 hours of CPD each year for every teacher and school head.
It promotes a holistic approach to teacher training, emphasizing online blended learning modes. This method makes professional development more accessible and flexible.
Additionally, the policy encourages collaboration among teachers, fostering peer learning and sharing of best practices. The budget announcement also focuses on preparing teachers as digital educators, reinforcing the importance of CPD in integrating digital technology.
Focus of the Upcoming Online Training
CIET-NCERT will organize a 5-hour training series on Educational Technology in June 2024. The English version will run from June 17-21, and the Hindi version from June 24-28, each day from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
This training, titled “Elevating Teaching-Learning Dynamics on DIKSHA,” aims to equip educators with innovative tools and platforms.

What Will Participants Learn?
The training will cover diversified focus areas of target group-specific e-content, aiming to deepen the pedagogical impact on key subject areas.
Participants will gain insights into the integration of cutting-edge tools such as the Collab Geo Tool and Google Classroom, enabling them to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences.
A new ticketing tool will also be introduced, helping educators and students to swiftly address any concerns while navigating and teaching/learning on the DIKSHA platform.

How to Navigate DIKSHA’s Homepage Efficiently?
On Day 1 (June 17, 2024), educators will learn to navigate DIKSHA’s homepage interface for efficient access to resources, optimizing platform utilization. This session will be led by Prof. Indu Kumar and Dr. Prachi Sharma from CIET, NCERT.
What Are DIKSHA’s “Focus Areas”?
Day 2 (June 18, 2024) will clarify the concept of “Focus Areas” within DIKSHA, helping educators understand and utilize targeted content effectively. This session will again feature Prof. Indu Kumar and Dr. Prachi Sharma.
How to Leverage DIKSHA within Google Classroom?
Day 3 (June 19, 2024) will focus on unlocking educational synergy between DIKSHA and Google Classroom, enhancing educational delivery and student engagement.
This session will be led by Prof. Indu Kumar, Ms. Sonia Mehra Agarwal, and Mr. Hemant Bhalla from Google for Education.
How to Use the Collab Geo Tool for Teaching Geometry?
Day 4 (June 20, 2024) will demonstrate the effective use of the Collab Geo Tool within DIKSHA for teaching geometry, enhancing student understanding. This session will feature Mr. Guntuku Prasad and Ms. Ana Gupta from CIET, NCERT.
How to Use the OS Ticketing Tool on DIKSHA?
Day 5 (June 21, 2024) will train educators on using the OS ticketing tool to efficiently address concerns, ensuring a smooth user experience. This session will be led by Mr. Sanjay Varyani and Mr. Pathikrit Ghosh.

Attend the training sessions live-streamed on the NCERT Official YouTube channel from June 17-21, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The sessions will also be telecast live on PM eVidya DTH TV channels #6-12, DD Free Dish channels #28-34, DISH TV channels #2027-2033, and the Jio TV mobile app.
Step 3: Take the Online Course and Get Certified
Join the online course on the DIKSHA portal, complete the five videos, and take the final assessment. Scoring 70% and above in the final assessment will earn you a certificate, accessible in your DIKSHA profile.
