CTET 2021: Candidates appearing in CTET 2021 may see some changes in this year’s exam. A list of some important changes of CTET 2021 is given below.

CTET 2021: The aspirants of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2021) and Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2021) are eagerly waiting for the official notification of the examinations to be released. It is worth noting that CTET is conducted twice a year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The dates for the second time conduct of CTET 2021 this year have not been announced yet. However, it has been claimed in many media reports that the notification for CTET 2021 can be issued in the beginning of September. That is why the candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website for the updates related to the exam.

CTET 2021: These rules have changed from this year, candidates appearing in CTET 2021 may see some changes in this year’s examination. Talking about some important changes of CTET 2021 conducted by CBSE, this year the question paper pattern of the exam has been changed. CBSE has issued a notification on the official website and informed that questions will be asked in CTET 2021 according to the new education policy. CBSE had said that more conceptual and factual questions will be asked in CTET 2021. A big change has also happened in CTET 2021 that now the exam will be conducted in online mode instead of offline. Apart from this, an important change is that the degree of CTET has now been made valid for life.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Minimum Qualifications for becoming a teacher for Class IV: Elementary level Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and appearing or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called) .

OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and appearing in the final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called) as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedures), Regulations 2002 OR Passed.

OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and appearing or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and appearing or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR, Graduation and appearing or passed the final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Qualifications to become a Teacher for Classes VI-VIII : Graduation at Elementary level and appearing or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR, Graduation with at least 50% marks and appearing or passed one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

OR, Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in one year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedures) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and appearing or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and appearing or appearing in final year of four year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/BSc.Ed.

OR, Graduation with at least 50% marks and appearing or passed one year B.Ed (Special Education).

What has happened in CTET Important changes:

CBSE has recently made a big change and decided that the degree of CTET exam will be valid for the whole lifetime from now on, while the pattern of questions asked in CTET has also been changed. Under this, while issuing a notice on the CBSE official website, it has been told that now in this examination questions will be asked according to the new education policy, which will have questions with factual knowledge and more conceptual understanding, which will help in testing the understanding of the students well. Along with this, this exam has been made online, which was earlier offline.

What is the new update regarding UPTET 2021 ? 

the official notification related to the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2021) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) can also be issued soon. UPBEB has also made some important changes in UPTET 2021. Like CTET 2021, the degree of UPTET 2021 has also been made valid for life. It is to be noted that the UPTET exam is conducted only once in a year.

CTET & UPTET 2021: Know how different this time’s CTET and UPTET will be from previous exams

Notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) can be issued soon. CTET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and UPTET is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). UPTET 2021 notification will be released soon on the official website of UPBEB. As per the reports, the UPTET 2020-21 exam is likely to be held in October 2021. Earlier, the UP government had announced that the exam would be conducted in mid-December 2021.

Important changes in UPTET :

Like CTET, now the degree of UPTET is also now valid for the whole lifetime. Here you should also understand that while CTET is conducted twice a year, UPTET is conducted only once in a year.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2021

UPTET has two sets of applicants – applicants for primary teachers (classes 1 to 5) and applicants for upper primary teachers (classes 6 to 8).

UPTET 2021 Nationality: Candidates belonging to India/Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan are eligible for the exam.

UPTET 2021 Age Limit: Applicant age should be between 18 years to 35 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per the norms prescribed by the government.

How to apply for UPTET 2021?

UPTET 2021 application form can be filled in online mode only. Go through the following steps:

Step 1 – UPTET 2021 Registration

Step 2 – UPTET Application Fee Payment

Step 3:  Fill UPTET Application Form 2021

Step 4: Upload the scanned image and signature to complete the application form filling process.

UPTET 2021 Admit Card

The admit card of UPTET 2021 will be available in online mode only on the official website of UPTET. To download the admit card, candidates need to log in to the official website with their registration number and password.

UPTET 2021 Exam Pattern

UPTET 2021 will be conducted in two different papers Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted for the candidates applying for the appointment of teacher for classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 will be conducted for the appointment of teacher Class 6 to 8.

Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted in offline mode.

Paper 1 comprises of 5 subjects/sections and Paper 2 comprises of 4 subjects/sections.

The duration of both the papers is 2.5 hours (or 150 minutes).

Objective type multiple choice questions are asked in the exam.

1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and there is no provision of negative marking in UPTET.

There are 150 questions in both the papers and each question has 4 options out of which only 1 will be correct.
