JNV Class 9 Admissions 2021 Registration: The process of registration for admission in class 9 in Navodaya Vidyalaya has started on the official website of NVS, navodaya.gov.in. At present, there are 650 functional Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas spread over 27 States and 08 UTs
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, NVS has started the process of registration for admission in class 9 through lateral entry. The process of registration for JNV class 9 admission will be conducted till 31 October 2021. Candidates who want to take admission in class 9 can apply online through the official website of NVS at navodaya.gov.in. Only those students who are studying in class VIII from government/government recognized school in the district during the academic session 2021-22 are eligible for this entrance.

PROSPECTUS CUM APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION TEST IN JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYAS FOR ADMISSION IN CLASS IX DURING 2022-23 AGAINST VACANT SEATS
Last date to apply for Class-IX Lateral Entry test is 31st October 2021.
Step 1: First of all go to the official website navodaya.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the link CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT ONLINE APPLICATION FORM FOR CLASS IX LATERAL ENTRY SELECTION TEST 2022. THE LAST DATE TO APPLY IS 31.10.2021 given on the website.
Step 3: Then click on Click here for Registration – Phase I.
Step 4: Now submit your state, district, name, mobile number and date of birth.
Step 5: After the login is generated, log in with the help of username and password.
Step 6: Now submit all the information asked in the application form.
Step 7: Pay the application fee.
Step 8: After completing the application process, take a print of the confirmation page at the end.
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance examination for admission to class IX will be held on Saturday, 9th April, 2022 at any other center allotted by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya/NVS of the concerned district. The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. The medium of examination will be English/Hindi and students will have to answer in the OMR sheet.
Who can apply for JNV Admission ?
For admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya 9th class, students should be born between 1st May 2006 to 30th April 2010. Students residing in the district where Navodaya Vidyalaya is located, who have studied up to class 8 from a government or government recognized school, can apply for class 9 here.
VENUE & DATE OF JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST
Selection Test for admission to Class IX will be conducted on Saturday, the 09th April 2022 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of concerned district/ any other centre allotted by NVS.
RESULT OF JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST
Result of the Selection Test may be noted from the application portal of NVS through which application is submitted. Result will be notified in the Vidyalaya Notice Board as well as published in the website of JNVs concerned. Selected candidates will also be intimated by Speed post and SMS.
ELIGIBILITY FOR JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST
- Only those candidates who are studying Class VIII during the Academic Session 2021-22 in one of the Govt./Govt. recognized schools of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought, are eligible.
- Candidate appearing for the admission test must qualify/ pass Class VIII in the academic session 2021-22 from a Govt./Govt. recognized school in the district where he/she is seeking admission. The students who have already passed class VIII in previous academic sessions are not eligible.
- A candidate seeking admission must be born between 01.05.2006 and 30.04.2010 (both days inclusive). This is applicable to all categories of candidates including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe.
- Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti reserves the right to refer any candidate to a MEDICAL BOARD for confirmation of the age of the candidate, in case any doubt arises about the age on the basis of certificate produced by the candidate before confirmation of admission.
EXAMINATION FOR JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST
- Date of Examination – Saturday 09th April 2022
- Duration – 2 ½ hours.
- However, in respect of candidates with special needs (Divyang), additional time of 50 minutes will be provided, subject to the production of certificates from the competent authority.
- Centre for examination shall be the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA of the district concerned/ any other centre allotted by NVS.
- Medium of Language for Examination will be English/Hindi.
- Students have to answer in OMR sheet
COMPOSITION OF THE NVS ADMISSION TEST
Selection Test will consist of questions from the subjects of Mathematics, General Science, English and Hindi. Difficulty level of the test paper shall be of Class VIII.

The test will be of objective type with 2 ½ hours duration without any break.
