Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has started a special program Yuva Vigyan Karyakram for class 9 students.
The process of registration for the Young Scientist Program being conducted by ISRO has started. On behalf of the Office of the Director, State Education, Khoj and Sikhlai Parishad, Punjab has been asked to encourage the students by issuing a letter to the group district education officers and school heads of the state in this regard. In a letter issued by the department, it has been said that the program is being organized by ISRO with the aim of providing basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications to the school children.

Class IX students can participate in this program. The registration process for this contest has started. Students can apply for the Young Scientist Program till 4 PM on April 10.

Yuvika 2022 Selection Process
The selection of students for the ISRO program Yuvika 2022 will be based on the marks obtained in the 8th examination. Also the participation of students in the science fair in last three years. Should have won prizes in Olympiads/Science competitions in the last three years. Preference will be given to Scouts and Guides/Members of NCC/NSS in the last three years who are winners of sports competitions organized by the school/Govt. ISRO has announced to give special weightage to the students studying in the school located in the Panchayat area. Students have to qualify for the quiz to register for Yuvika 2022.

How to register for YUVIKA -2022
Step 1. Visit the official website of ISRO at www.isro.gov.in
Step 2. On the homepage, click on the link that reads,’ YUVIKA – 2022 Online registration announced.(Last date: April 10, 2022, 04:00 p.m).
Step 3. Register for YUVIKA- 2022.
Step 4. Read the quiz instructions. Appear in the online quiz within 48 hours of e-mail registration for YUVIKA – 2022.
Step 5. Login to YUVIKA portal minimum after 60 minutes from quiz submission and fill all the information correctly. Submit the online application form and download the submitted form.
Yuvika 2022 Result
The candidates selected for this program will be announced on April 20, 2022. Yuvika 2022 is a 2 week residential program which will be conducted during summer vacations from 16th to 28th May, 2022. It aims to select 150 students from all over the country who are studying in class 9th till March 1, 2022.
Upload the signed copy and all the required certificates before the last date of registration.
The programme is planned to be held at five ISRO centres — Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram; U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Bengaluru; Space Application Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad; National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad and North-East Space Application Centre (NE-SAC), Shillong.
