ISRO Online Introductory Level Awareness Programme in Space Science and Technology Now Open to all Students & Enthusiasts! ISRO Announces Free Online Course for School Students With Certificates
ISRO Free Online Certificates Course Registration 2023: Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START) is a programme envisaged by ISO as an online introductory-level awareness programme (iirs free online course registration) in space science and technology.
The lectures cover Earth and Near-Earth Space, Solar System Exploration, Space Mission Design and Observations, Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Cosmology.
Technological aspects like accessing space, space instrumentation, lectures on the Indian space exploration programme and research opportunities in the fields of space science are included.
ISRO Online Introductory Level Awareness Programme
ISRO Course for Students: Tentatively scheduled for July-Aug 2023, this online introductory-level awareness programme in space science and technology will cover various topics like Earth & Near-Earth Space, Solar System Exploration, Instrumentation, and more!
Students Should Register by July 15, 2023. Activate the link via e-mail & select START programme. Participation certificates will be provided to eligible registrants. Students of approved nodal centres can register to be eligible for exams and merit certificates.

How to Register for ISRO Free Online Course Registration 2023 for Students
Training is tentatively scheduled for July-Aug 2023 with 2-3 hours/day lectures for 2-3 weeks online through ISRO’s e-class platform https://eclass.iirs.gov.in
The ISRO programme for students is primarily aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students of science and technology. Based on the eagerness shown, the participation is now extended to other students and enthusiasts.
One can register at https://elearning.irs.gov.in/edusatregistration/student
(A link will be sent via e-mail for activation. May select the START programme and complete the registration).
Over 280 institutions have been approved as nodal centres for the programme. The students of these institutions may scroll-select and register through the institution/nodal centre to become eligible for taking exams and merit certificates.
Students of any institution or general enthusiasts can register individually at the same link (https://elearning.irs.gov.in/edusatregistration/student) and attend the sessions through https://www.youtube.com/@edusat2004
- Participation certificates will be provided to the eligible, registrants.
- The sessions can be watched, without registration also.
- The START programme is free. There is no registration fee/admission fee.
- The last date for registration is July 15, 2023.

Guidelines to Join Online Course through IIRS-ISRO E-CLASS Platform
Step By Step Online Process and Instructions of ISRO Free Online Course Registration 2023 for Students
Following guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures are issued for live & interactive courses under the IIRS Outreach programme.
A. Step 1: Register for the course through https://elearning.iirs.gov.in/edusatregistration/student. Please provide your details very carefully, especially your email ID and mobile number.
You will receive one registration number on successful submission of your application as a web page display and email message.
B. Step 2: Activate your account by clicking on the given link in your email. Once your account is activated and your email is verified, your application will be available for the selection process to Institute/Course Coordinator/Director.
C. Step 3: The ISRO course coordinator/Director will review your application and verify the submitted documents and approve or reject your application.
D. Step 4: All the approved participants will receive an approval email with their login credentials for the IIRS E-CLASS platform (https://eclass.iirs.gov.in) and Examination Portal (https://elearning.iirs.gov.in). A single username and password will work for both portals.
If login credentials are received with an approval email, please visit: https://eclass.iirs.gov.in
If you have not received any approval email then please check the status of your application at: https://elearning.iirs.gov.in/edusatregistration/studentstatus if your status is “Approved” then reset your password by clicking on the link provided on the above web page or through the URL https://elearning.iirs.gov.in/mdl/login/forgot_password.php.
If you have already participated in any earlier online course of IIRS ISRO then your old login credentials will be valid for this course also. No new login credentials will be provided.
However, you can reset your password by clicking on “Forgot Password?” available in the E-CLASS portal.
If the status of your application is “Not Approved” then you are considered a Learner. Please watch live sessions at: https://www.youtube.com/user/edusat2004
All the approved participants have to log in to ISRO – IIRS E-CLASS platform https://eclass.iirs.gov.in with his/her credentials during live sessions.

ISRO Free Online Course: Online Examination
All the participants who are meeting the minimum attendance criteria will be allowed for online examination. The examination will be conducted through: https://elearning.iirs.gov.in .
The date and time of the examination will be intimated within 2 weeks of course completion.
The Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and True/False statement-based questions will be asked during the online examination.
The random questions will be displayed to the participant from the available question bank in the IIRS E-CALSS platform.
The minimum passing score will be announced for each course separately. All the successful participants in the examination will be eligible for a course certificate.
How to get Certificates for ISRO Free Online Course?
The certificate will be issued within 2 to 3 weeks of the online examination. The certificate will be available through the coordinator of the networked Institution (if applicable).
The certificate will also be available under the E-CLASS login of each participant.
