The board has said that this competition should be conducted in all the schools before 22nd December. CBSE has said in a letter sent to the schools that the students who will be selected in the CBSEÂ Band Competition will get a chance to participate in the Republic Day parade to be held in Delhi on January 26.
The CBSE board has said that the Union Ministry of Education is conducting this Inter School Band Competition. The board has directed the principals of the schools to motivate the students to participate in this band competition. This will also inculcate a feeling of patriotism among the students. CBSE said that the band competition will be at the national level. In this, the confidence of the victorious students will also increase.
CBSE told the school principals that this inter-school band competition would be held at three levels. Selected students in the school will participate in the state-level competition. After that, there will be a semi-final competition at the country level and after that, there will be a final exam at the country level. Students who make it to the finals of the competition will be given a chance to perform at the National War Memorial in Delhi.
CBSE said that schools should conduct this competition before December 22 and send its video. Eight teams will be selected for the national level final competition. Cash prizes will also be given to the winners of the band competition. The tune of the National Anthem will not have to be played in the band competition. Students will be required to participate in the competition dressed in full band attire.
