The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH) is introducing an all-inclusive Sanskrit certificate program, named “Prathama-diksha”. Organized by the Non-Formal Sanskrit Education Center (#NFSE) and supported by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, this initiative offers everyone an opportunity to delve into India’s linguistic heritage.

Open to everyone, the course is tailored to accommodate students, faculty, their families, and even those outside the IITH community. With a graded learning approach, participants have the liberty to set their own pace, ensuring a comfortable learning experience.
Key Details and How to Enroll in IIT Sanskrit Course
No prerequisites are required to join this certificate program, but it’s noteworthy that the diploma requires completion of this introductory course. Classes will be scheduled according to the convenience of learners, ensuring maximum participation.
Fee and Certification
For a fee of just INR 1200, participants will receive all necessary study materials provided by the Central Sanskrit University. Successful completion will earn students a certificate from the esteemed University. Those eager to begin their Sanskrit journey can fill out the application form and get started.
The entire program, inclusive of study material from the Central Sanskrit University, is priced at INR 1200. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate from the Central Sanskrit University.
Shri Avijit Ghosh, the course instructor, plans to hold an orientation to walk prospective learners through the syllabus and other course specifics. He emphasizes that the course will commence right from the basics, starting with reading and writing Sanskrit.
