DU Registration Opens for Innovative Certificate Course on Patents

DU Patent Course Structure
Designed as a three-month-long program, the course is planned to deliver a hybrid learning experience, blending online and offline modes.
The structure includes 48 hours of online learning coupled with 12 hours of offline interaction. Classes, restricted to weekends, are slated for two hours each on Saturdays and Sundays.
Each batch will accommodate 300 students, with multiple batches operating throughout the year.
Admission Criteria for DU Patents Course
Admission to the course is open to students who have completed or are pursuing graduation. Alternatively, Class 12 pass-outs showing keen interest in fields such as innovation, invention, entrepreneurship, and startups are also eligible to apply.
Key Dates for DU Certificate Course
The deadline for registration is June 10, with the processing and finalization of admissions to be concluded by June 16. Selected students can submit their course fees between June 17 to June 23.
The university will declare a second list on June 24, with students on this list having until June 28 to pay their fees. The course will officially Start on July 1 and wrap up on September 30.
Leading the course is Dr. Daman Saluja, the chairperson of the research council at DU. Under her guidance, the course is expected to provide valuable hands-on training to students.
DU Curriculum Highlights of Certificate Course on Patents
The course aims to offer comprehensive coverage of emerging patent trends in exponential technologies. These include, but are not limited to, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Robotics, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Biotechnology, Nano-Technology, Computer-Related Inventions (CRIs) and telecommunications.
The curriculum also encompasses in-depth exploration of legal issues related to patents, promising to address practical challenges faced by lawmakers and other stakeholders.
