NCERT Online Training on Safe Online Communication
The National Education Policy (2020) imagines a future where technology plays an essential role in education. Simultaneously, it highlights the critical importance of children’s safety and security, especially in the cyber world, to facilitate a pleasant and efficient learning environment. The policy asserts, “Children and adolescents enrolled in schools must not be forgotten in this whole process; after all, the school system is designed for them. Careful attention must be paid to their safety and rights” (Para 8.11).
The Increasing Risks of Cyberattacks in the Age of E-Learning
Due to the recent transition towards e-learning, online communications have become an integral part of our education system. This shift, although beneficial in many aspects, has opened the door for potential cyberattacks. Cybercriminals exploit this digital migration to defraud schools, steal sensitive data, or implement ransomware schemes.
