The Indian Navy takes immense pride to announce their flagship event, a Unique National Level Quiz Competition – ‘THINQ’. CBSE issues important notice on Indian Navy Quiz THINQ-22 for Class 9 to 12 students
CBSE Quiz for Students: CBSE/ACAD/DS(MS)/2022 Date: 11.07.2022 Circular No: Acad-75/2022 – As part of the grand celebration of the 75 years of Independence across the nation through ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Indian Navy is conducting a national level quiz for school children studying in classes IX to XII.
About The Indian Navy Quiz (THINQ -22)
As part of India’s 75th Independence Year, the Indian Navy is organizing a National level quiz competition ‘The Indian Navy Quiz – THINQ’, with the theme ‘Sail beyond your horizon’, wherein 7,500 schools from across the country are expected to participate.
The participation and achievements of all the students will be recognised and honoured by award of special appreciation certificate and several exciting prizes for this unique occasion.
What is The Aim of The Indian Navy Quiz 2022?
The ‘Unique’ aspect of the Indian Navy quiz 2022 is aimed to inspire our children to be nation builders by inculcating a strong sense of patriotism, dedication, being self-reliant and an evolved educated society, committed to and proud of our rich heritage, culture and values.
Children would have an opportunity to experience the semi-finals and finals being onboard the Aircraft Carrier INS Vikramaditya or the deck of an indigenously designed & built frontline warship or at the grand setting of the largest Naval Academy in Asia, the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala in Kerala. The participants of these rounds would experience Naval operations or be a part of the passing out parade at the INA.
The Indian Navy quiz 2022 event will be conducted by a professional quiz master team. Three online and two offline rounds are planned to finalise 16 qualifying teams for the semi-finals. Eight teams would be part of the final round. The semi-finals and finals are planned to be conducted at a naval base for which details will be revealed as the Indian Navy quiz 2022 progresses.
The Indian Navy Quiz Prizes
Besides the rich and unique experience, the students could win very attractive prizes at various levels. All details are available on the website www.theindiannavyquiz.org. All participants would be given an e-certificate of participation. Travel, boarding and lodging expenses for the 16 semi-finalists and the teams for the finals would be done by the Indian Navy. For participation in the Indian Navy quiz 2022, the schools need to register on the website www.theindiannavyquiz.org.
Special: The qualifying teams get the chance to meet and interact with Naval Personnel in uniform and understand the exciting world of Naval Operations onboard warships, submarines and naval aircraft through experience sharing with personnel who have dedicated their lives to our nation.

General Terms
- The Indian Navy quiz 2022 is open only for schools within the geographical boundary of India.
- Each team will consist of 2 members and a standby member. A teacher from the school should accompany the team.
- Questions will be from the field of General Knowledge/ GK. The broad topics which the Quiz will cover are India, History, Culture & Heritage, Sports, Entertainment, Science & Technology, World, Literature & Art, Current Affairs, Food & Lifestyle, Business& Brands etc.
- There are two stages to the Quiz. A) Online Elimination round 1, 2 & Quarter Final B) Semi-Final and the Grand Final onboard the aircraft carrier / the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
- The qualifying Semi Finalists teams will get the chance to meet and interact with officers and personnel of Indian Navy in uniform and understand the exciting world of Naval Operations onboard warships, submarines, aircrafts and fighter jets and witness operations of ships, helicopters at close quarters being at sea.
- The participation and achievements of all the students will be accredited by certificates awarded by The Indian Navy along with several exciting prizes.
- Registrations for the Indian Navy quiz 2022 start from 1st JULY, 2022.
- The Schedule for Elimination 1, 2 and Quarter Final will be intimated to the registered teams.
- Travel and other expenses for the Semi-Finalists and the finals will be borne by The Indian Navy.

Prizes to be won in the Indian Navy quiz 2022 Thinq -22
Apart from the rich and unique experience mentioned above, attractive prizes would be awarded to the winning team, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up and all 13 teams participating in the semi finals. Two participants adjudged as best quizzers will also be awarded with attractive prizes.
