CBSE has opened the Class 12 verification and re-evaluation portal. Check direct link, fees, rules, important dates, and full application process.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started the online portal for verification of marks and re-evaluation on June 2, 2026. The board announced the update through its official X account. Students can now apply online to check issues in their answer books and request re-evaluation of questions.
CBSE also released an official video guide on YouTube to help students understand the full process. The board asked students to watch the video carefully before applying. Students cannot edit the form after locking the request and making payment.
How Students Can Apply Online
| Process | Important Details |
|---|---|
| Apply in One Attempt | Students must submit all verification and re-evaluation requests together in one application. |
| Eligibility Rule | Only students who already received scanned copies of their answer books can apply. |
| Final Submission | Students cannot change any details after clicking “Freeze and Proceed to Payment”. |
| Status Tracking | Students can download the application form and track the status online after payment. |
How to Apply for Verification of Issues
After logging into the portal, students will see different options on the left side of the screen. To report problems in answer books, students must select the “Verification of Issues” option.
The portal will show only those subjects for which students already received scanned answer books. After selecting the subject, students can choose the issue they want to report.
Students can report:
- Missing pages
- Missing supplementary sheets
- Missing maps or graphs
- Blurred scanned pages
- Wrong answer books
- Evaluation using the wrong question paper set
Students must enter proper details while reporting issues. For example, if pages are missing, students need to enter the page numbers. If supplementary sheets are missing, students must enter the total number of missing sheets.
After filling in all details, students should click “Save and Continue to Preview” to check the application. If students want to add another subject or issue, they must do it before final payment.
How to Apply for Re-Evaluation
Students who believe their answers received incorrect marks can apply for re-evaluation online.
To start the process, students must select the subject and enter the exact question number they want CBSE to review. For example, students can enter “1A” if they want re-evaluation for that question.
Students also need to enter:
- The page number where the answer appears
- Marks awarded by the examiner
- Marks they believe they should receive
- Proper reason for re-evaluation
CBSE asked students to give clear reasons such as “step marks not given” instead of general comments.
Students can add multiple questions for re-evaluation in the same application. After checking all details, students can complete the online payment process.
