CBSE Latest Circular: The Government of India embarks on the journey of highlighting the valiant efforts and sacrifices of our national heroes through the grand celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Recognizing events and personalities that played pivotal roles in India’s freedom and unification, the government has earmarked 17th September 2023 for the “Hyderabad Liberation Day” celebrations.
Celebrations Spanning Across Three States
The day will be observed across the three states – Telangana, specific districts of Maharashtra, and Karnataka – which historically comprised the erstwhile State of Hyderabad.
This effort aims to resonate with the sacrifices made by our predecessors, ensuring the merger of the State of Hyderabad with the Union of India. The main event will illuminate the parade ground in Hyderabad, capturing the essence of resistance, valor, and dedication.
CBSE Schools to Organize Prabhat-Pheris
In alignment with the spirit of the day, schools located in the regions once part of the former State of Hyderabad are encouraged to organize Prabhat-Pheris on the morning of 17th September 2023.
To encapsulate the energy and enthusiasm, schools have the opportunity to upload a brief report, complemented with 2-3 photographs, capturing their celebrations. These reports are to be submitted by 20th September 2023 on the provided online platform: Submit your report here.
