The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension of the last date for ‘Registration’ and ‘Applying to Participate’ in the CBSE Games for the academic year 2024-25.
Originally set for an earlier deadline, schools and students now have until August 21, 2024 to complete their registration without incurring any late fees.
What is the New Deadline for CBSE Games Registration?
In response to the overwhelming demand and logistical challenges, CBSE has decided to extend the deadline for registration and application to August 21, 2024.
This extension is intended to give schools and students additional time to complete their preparations and ensure they do not miss out on participating in the games.
What Happens After the Extended Deadline?
For those who miss the new deadline, CBSE has outlined a late fee structure as follows:
From August 22 to August 28, 2024: A late fee of Rs. 500 per student will be charged.
From August 29 to September 4, 2024: A late fee of Rs. 1000 per student will be applied.
It’s important to note that no further extensions will be granted. The late fees must be paid online while filling out the form on the CBSE Sports Portal.
What About Previous Year’s Players?
CBSE has observed that some schools have not yet updated the class information for players from the previous year. To rectify this, an EDIT option will soon be made available, allowing schools to update the necessary details.
