CBSE Latest Circular: Training sessions for CS/IT/ICT Teachers on the ‘Be Internet Awesome’ Program
CBSE Latest Circular: NEP 2020 speaks of technology as assisting teachers, bridging the language gap between teachers and students, building digital libraries, popularizing language learning and ensuring greater educational access (specifically for differently-abled children). In keeping this spirit alive, CBSE in partnership with Google India is organizing Teacher Training on ‘Be Internet Awesome’, a program dedicated to safeguarding learners and facilitators alike while exploring the online world.
Registration For Master Trainer Program I – Cohort 1 (COE Delhi (East ), COE Delhi (West ), COE Noida, COE Panchkula
Post-pandemic online learning has become an inseparable part of the teaching learning scenario in schools across the country and hence the need to navigate safely is paramount. This program aims to empower users by educating them and providing them with the right tools and information for their online safety. One critical aspect of this commitment is also to ensure parents and students have the right tools that they need to explore the internet confidently.
Master Trainer Program (Online) for CS/IT/ICT teachers:
The second engagement of the CBSE ‘Be Internet Awesome’ program involves learning through online sessions for CS/IT/ICT teachers only. These online training for teachers will be conducted monthly. Each of these will be repeated to accommodate teachers across the country. Each teacher has to attend one (2-hour) workshop. They will then train a minimum of 20 teachers to make them eligible for the certificate.
- These training programmes are only for teachers teaching CS/IT/ICT to students of age group of 6-17 years only, in CBSE affiliated schools
- The maximum participation per cohort is 1,000 participants.
- There is no fee for these training sessions.
- Once the teacher registers, the link shall be shared on the registered email id.
- All these trainings shall be held in online mode only.
The CBSE ‘Be Internet Awesome’ program involves learning through online sessions for CS/IT/ICT teachers only. These online teacher trainings will be conducted monthly. Each of these will be repeated to accommodate teachers across the country. Each teacher has to attend one (2-hour) workshop only.
They will then train a minimum of 20 teachers to make them eligible for the CBSE-Google certificate. These 20 teachers will, in turn, train 100 students each.
