Ensure Your Students are Registered: Final Day for Schools to Complete CBSE LOC Submission
CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the window for the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools today. This process is mandatory for schools to register eligible students for the Class 10 and 12 Board examinations. Schools were earlier directed to submit accurate data, including the subjects of the students. The LOC submission can be done with the normal fee by the end of today.
However, the window for LOC submission with a late fee will open tomorrow, October 5.
Once subjects are submitted through the LOC, no corrections will be allowed. Students must decide whether they will appear for the subjects listed in the LOC during the main examination. However, CBSE will declare the results based on its Examination Bye-Laws. Any changes to subjects will only be made after the main examinations, and students will then be permitted to take the corrected subject in the Supplementary Examinations.
The board has also directed school principals to obtain a report on the submission of the LOC to ensure that it has been done according to the board’s guidelines. By following the instructions issued, schools can ensure accuracy and timeliness in the submission of data.
CBSE had previously released a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to assist schools with the LOC submission process. These guidelines help ensure that both students and teachers can maintain accurate LOC data, which is essential for the efficient planning and administration of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations for the academic session 2024-2025.

It is important to note that the LOC submission process is the only way schools can register their students for the upcoming board exams. Only those students whose names have been submitted online through the LOC process will be allowed to sit for the examinations.
For the 2024-2025 session, the LOC submission process began on September 5, 2024 (Thursday) and is scheduled to close on October 4, 2024 (Friday). CBSE has emphasized that schools must complete the process within this timeframe, as no extensions will be granted.
