CBSE Releases Circular for AI Orientation for Principals: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been proactively engaging in initiatives aimed at skilling students with emerging technologies. As part of this, CBSE had introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a skill subject for classes IX and beyond from the academic session of 2019-2020.
With the objective of providing both technical knowledge about AI and fostering relevant social skills, CBSE has been partnering with Intel India. Together, they have successfully conducted AI Capacity Building Programs (CBPs) for educators and AI Bootcamps for students.
The CBSE Orientation Session on Artificial Intelligence for School Leaders / Principals
To augment its efforts in promoting AI education, CBSE is now initiating a monthly CBSE Orientation Session on Artificial Intelligence tailored specifically for Principals and Heads of Institutions. This program aims not only to provide a foundational understanding of AI’s potential but also to address its challenges.
These sessions will delve deeper into the primary domains of AI, emphasizing its ethical considerations and potential biases. Through these orientation sessions, CBSE envisions encouraging more schools to adopt AI as a pivotal skill subject.

The first in this series of the CBSE Orientation Session on Artificial Intelligence for school leaders is slated for:
