CBSE Circular: Students studying basic maths in 10th will be able to study maths in class 11th this year too – CBSE
CBSE Latest Circular: As a special case, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has allowed schools to offer Mathematics (041) to Class 11 students who studied Mathematics Basic (241) in Class 10, only for the 2022-23 academic year.
Students who passed with basic maths in 10th are allowed maths in 11th: CBSE
CBSE Class 11 Admission: There is good news for the students studying in CBSE affiliated schools. CBSE has allowed all schools to take Maths subject to 11th class students who had studied basic maths in class 10th (10th Basic Math) during the Covid pandemic. Earlier in class 11th and 12th, only those students could take mathematics, who had studied standard mathematics in class 10th (10th Basic Math). Because the students who did not want to study mathematics in higher studies, they take basic mathematics in 10th standard. The board has said in the letter sent to the schools that this exemption is being given only for this year.
CBSE allows Mathematics for Class 11 students who studied Maths-Basic in 10th –
As per the standard rule, Class 10 students who study Mathematics Standard (041) can opt for Mathematics (041) in Class 11. Those who study Maths Basic in Class 10 can only go for Applied Mathematics in Class 11.
Along with this, it has also been instructed that the school principals should know very well that the students who have opted for Maths subject in class 11 should have the ability and capability to pursue it. The board has taken this decision due to the impact during the Covid-19 transition. CBSE has said that in the current session also the studies of students have been affected by Kovid, so it has been decided to extend this relaxation for 2020-23.
CBSE issued a Circular to all schools
In class 11th and 12th, only those students could take Maths subject, who had studied standard mathematics in class 10th (10th Basic Math). Those students who do not want to study Mathematics in Higher Studies, they study Basic Maths. This rule was issued in 2019, so that students who do not want to study the subject of mathematics, do not have much burden on them.
If a student changes his mind after class 10th and wants to choose maths in class 11th, then he could have opted for maths in class 11th by giving a compartment exam in class 10th, but this time the session is delayed due to COVID-19. The CBSE board has taken this decision so that the students do not face any difficulty in studying in the new session.
