CBSE Launches 2nd Expression Series 2024-25: Showcase Your Creativity and Win National Recognition

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the 2nd Expression Series for the academi year 2024-25. The theme for this year’s Expression Series is “Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat”. Students from various class categories will participate in this competition by showcasing their creativity through essays, paintings, paragraphs, or poems.

Categories and Topics:

Class Category Medium Topics
Primary (Class 3 to 5) Paragraph (150 words) / Painting – My dream job when I grow up.
– What can I do to protect the environment?
Middle (Class 6 to 8) Essay (400 words) / Painting / Poem – What does the rupee suggest for its effective utilization?
– Staying safe in the cyber world means staying safe in the real world.
Secondary (Class 9 to 10) Essay (700 words) / Painting / Poem – There is no right time for being financially literate.
– Use of social media as a learning tool.
Senior Secondary (Class 11 to 12) Essay (1000 words) / Painting / Poem – The new entrepreneurial idea for my village/town.
– What new things do I wish Bharat to have in 2047?

How Will the Expression Series be Conducted?

A. At the School Level:

  • Schools will hold the Expression Series during school hours from 7th October to 21st October 2024.
  • Students will participate in essays, paragraphs, paintings, or poems as per the formats mentioned in Annexure I.
  • Entries will be evaluated, and schools will shortlist one entry per class category, submitting a total of 4 entries.
  • Entries must include a certificate from the school’s head or the teacher-in-charge, certifying that the work is original.

B. Submission to CBSE:

  • Shortlisted entries can be uploaded between 21st October 2024 to 28th October 2024 via the CBSE Expression Series App, available on the Google Play Store.
  • Every participant will receive an online certificate of participation via their registered email ID.
  • The top 10 entries from each region will be selected for the National Level. From those, 3 best entries will be selected as National winners.
  • Certificates of merit will be awarded to 10 regional winners and 3 national winners.

Guidelines for Entry Submission by School Using CBSE Expression Series App

To submit your school’s entries for the CBSE Expression Series 2024-25, please follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful process:

Ensure Latest App Version:

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and search for the CBSE Expression Series App.
  2. If an update is available, tap the Update button before uploading your entries.

App Requirements:

You will need an Android smartphone with version 5.0 or above and internet connectivity to use the app.

Download and Installation:

  1. Download the app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Accept all required permissions during installation.

Step-by-Step Process for Submission:

Step 1:

  • Launch the CBSE Expression Series App by tapping the icon.
  • Enter the Affiliation Number and LOC/Registration Password.
  • Tap Submit.

Step 2:

After successful authentication, follow these steps:

  • Enter the Candidate’s Name.
  • Enter the Mobile Number and Email ID.
  • Enter the Roll Number assigned at the school level.
  • Select the appropriate Class Category (Primary/Middle/Secondary/Senior Secondary).
  • Select the student’s Class.
  • Tap the Take Photo button to capture the entry or select an image from your media.
  • Ensure that the image contains all the required details, as outlined in Annexure I.

Step 3:

  • Tap Upload Photo to submit the entry to the server.
  • To view the online certificate, enter the candidate’s Mobile Number and Roll Number, then tap Search.
