AWS Young Builders Challenge 2021 By CBSE
The program aims to bring together young builders of India to learn about technologies, put theory into practice by building creative projects on Code.org and showcasing their vision to nation!
About AWS Young Builders Challenge
AWS Young Builders Challenge is an initiative by AWS, launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Education- Innovation Cell (Govt. of India), Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to promote and foster a scientific temper, computational and design thinking, coding skills in young minds. This collaborative effort aims to infuse the basic understanding of disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing and their impact on the future of India.
Theme – How Artificial Intelligence change the future of the country
Sub-Themes – Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Transportation, Others
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAÂ
Open to all schools across India. Participating students from the respective schools should be from class 6th- class 12th.
There is No Fee for Participating in this Challenge.
Awards and Recognitions
- Top 10 SchoolsÂ
Direct entry to SIH (Smart India Hackathon) juniors track, proposed to happen in April 2022.
Based on the final evaluation done at the national level, the top 10 schools would be rewarded the following-
- Virtual AI/ML lab for one year
- Amazon Voucher worth 30,000 INR
- Trophies for schools & students
- AWS branded goodies
2. Top 100 schools
Based on the final evaluation done at the national level, the top 10 schools would be rewarded the following-
- Amazon Vouchers worth 5,000 INR
- AWS branded goodies
3. Top 3 schools with maximum participation
The schools would be stack ranked based on the total number of submissions received. Top 3 schools would be rewarded the following-
- Amazon vouchers 10,000 INR
- AWS branded goodies
4. Top 3 Public favourites
The top 10 projects selected in the first category will go through a public voting mechanism to select the top 3 public favourite projects. The voting lines would open post the submission deadline. The top 3 public favourite projects would additionally be awarded the following
- Plaque
How to Submit
Submit the creative projects build by your students and get a chance to win exciting prizes. The TOP 10 selected projects nationally will be invited to present their projects in the virtual live showcase ceremony.
Based on the participation from each school, you make track your rank on the live leader board page. Top 3 schools with maximum participation will also be facilitated in the showcase ceremony virtually.
