APJ Abdul Kalam: APJ Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 in a Poor Muslim family in the Dhanushkodi village of Rameswaram. Abdul Kalam lived in a joint family. His father was neither highly educated nor wealthy. For work, his father used to rent out boats to fishermen. Because of Coming from a poor family, Abdul Kalam started working at an early age to contribute to the family income.

Abdul Kalam had five brothers and five sisters. During his student life, Abdul Kalam received his education at the age of five in the Local Govt. Primary School of Rameswaram. APJ Abdul Kalam was a very hardworking student. Abdul Kalam also did the work of distributing newspapers to continue his preliminary examination. He received a degree in Astronomy from the Madras Institute of Technology in 1958.

How APJ Abdul Kalam Became Missile Man

In 1974, he conducted India’s first atomic experiment. In connection with which he was also called Missile Man. He defeated his arch rival Lakshmi Sehgal by getting 89 percent votes in the twelfth presidential election of India. He was the 11th and first non-political President of India. APJ Abdul Kalam was the President of India from 2002 to 2007. After becoming the President, he became a very respected and accomplished person in the eyes of all the countrymen. He also worked as a scientist for almost four decades.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam has been awarded various types of awards for his important role in the building of the nation. The government has honored him with awards like Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan For the incomparable work done by him in ISRO and DRDO. Than Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award was awarded to Kalam in the year 1997. More than 40 universities have conferred doctorate degrees on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

APJ Abdul Kalam Death

During a speech in Shillong, APJ Abdul Kalam sir suddenly suffered a heart attack and collapsed on the ground. After that, he was immediately brought to the hospital where he could not be revived. Abdul Kalam passed away on 27 July 2015 at the age of 83.

World Students Day is celebrated every year on 15 October on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of former President of India Dr. APJ Adabul Kalam. World Students Day was first celebrated in 2010 when Kalam was 79 years old. APJ Abdul Kalam, who served as the President of India, was a successful aerospace scientist and a dedicated teacher.
