No students from Class X and Class XII secured a complete percentile: Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj
In a notable development, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for class X and class XII examinations, revealing that no student attained a perfect score this year. According to Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination at CBSE, no student from either class X or class XII secured a complete percentile of 100%.
Nevertheless, Dr Bhardwaj expressed contentment with the overall performance of the students, stating, “The performance of every student is good, and we are very satisfied.” This outcome signifies a return to normalcy after several challenging years.
The CBSE’s decision to expedite the result declaration proved fruitful, bringing great satisfaction to the board. Over 22 lakh students appeared for the class X examinations, achieving commendable results with a pass percentage exceeding 93%.
Comparing the current results to those of the 2019 pre-pandemic period, there has been a noticeable improvement of approximately 2% in class X outcomes.
The credit for this satisfactory outcome goes to the schools and teachers who tirelessly supported and guided the students.
Despite the students’ inability to physically attend school during earlier classes, their remarkable performance reflects their dedication and the immense contribution of their educational institutions. Dr Bhardwaj commended the schools and teachers, acknowledging their pivotal role in students’ success.

For those students who were unable to pass two subjects in the class X exams, a supplementary examination will be conducted in July this year. This provision offers an opportunity for students to improve their results by attempting the subjects they were unsuccessful in.
Additionally, CBSE will provide students with the facility to verify their marks and avail of re-evaluation. Starting from the coming Tuesday, students will be able to access these processes for a fair assessment of their performance.
In conclusion, while no student achieved a perfect score in the CBSE class X and XII exams, the overall performance of the students is commendable. The CBSE, along with schools and teachers, celebrates this satisfying outcome and remains committed to providing an environment conducive to learning.
