DIKSHA will serve as National Digital Infrastructure for Teachers. All teachers across nation will be equipped with advanced digital technology. Diksha portal will enable, accelerate and amplify solutions in realm of teacher education. It will aid teachers to learn and train themselves for which assessment resources will be available. It will help teachers to create training content, profile, in-class resources, assessment aids, news and announcement and connect with teacher community.
DIKSHA has a repository of content that can be used by teachers and students. It is recommended that you select a user profile so that content relevant to you is displayed thereby enhancing your search results and overall accessibility of content.
DIKSHA is a unique initiative which leverages existing highly scalable and flexible digital infrastructures, while keeping teachers at the center. It is built considering the whole teacher’s life cycle – from the time student teachers enroll in Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) to after they retire as teachers.
In India, many teachers are creating & using innovative tech-based solutions in their classrooms. Some state governments have also initiated programs to support their teachers digitally. This inspired MHRD and NCTE to coordinate these efforts at a national level and build DIKSHA.
States, government bodies and even private organisations, can integrate DIKSHA into their respective teacher initiatives based on their goals, needs and capabilities. They can use DIKSHA’s features to create:
- In-class resources
- Teacher training content
- Assessment aids
- Teacher profile
- News and announcement
- Teacher community
These features have emerged from consultations with multiple state governments, NGOs and more than 30 public and private organisations, who have collaborated in contributing to DIKSHA.
The DIKSHA platform offers teachers, students and parents engaging learning material relevant to the prescribed school curriculum. Teachers have access to aids like lesson plans, worksheets and activities, to create enjoyable classroom experiences. Students understand concepts, revise lessons and do practice exercises. Parents can follow classroom activities and clear doubts outside school hours.

Depending on your organization, you may already see some information available.
Add or edit the following details:
Experience: Add your occupation details such as work title, organization name, joining date, etc.
Address: Add your permanent and current address
Education: Add your academic qualifications, such as degree, year of passing, board/university, etc.
Additional Information: Add personal information such as email, Aadhar number, mobile number, languages known, etc.

How do I access the TEXTBOOK in DIKSHA Mobile App?
You can access the Textbooks in the DIKSHA Mobile App by following ways:
- Open the DIKSHA App and tap Library. The library page displays the textbooks and other contents for a particular board, medium, and class. You can set your default board, medium, and grade while creating your profile in the app.
- Open DIKSHA App and tap the Scan icon to scan the QR Code printed on your physical textbook. Once the scan is successful, the textbook will appear on the mobile.
How can I upload content using the Diksha app?
The DIKSHA Mobile App is only for Consumption. You cannot create or upload contents using the App. If you have Content Creator role (a user role is assigned by state/school authorities), then you can log in to DIKSHA portal (https://diksha.gov.in) and create content.
Is there a place in DIKSHA Mobile App where I can see the list of courses which I have completed?

- Tap Profile
- The completed courses list is present under the section course(s) Attended
How can you Search Content on DIKSHA Portal ?
On DIKSHA you can search for content using the Search bar, QR codes or Explore Content options. You may search and choose the content based on the interests and needs. Using a combination of filters to get to specific content. These search filters are now saved and bookmarked to be able to work seamlessly across all platforms and devices (portal, mobile or desktop). Also, the links provided through WhatsApp, Tara chatbot, posters works across any device or platform.

Navigating DIKSHA Portal
On DIKSHA you can now navigate DIKSHA portal pages using your keyboard. This is applicable for both old and new theme. You can also navigate with the help of screen reader tool (e.g. NVDA) and use these keyboard buttons to select and unselect:
Tab key – move to different options on the page using tab key. i.e. use tab key to jump from Digital textbooks to Courses and then to TV classes and so on.
Up and Down key – move the entire page up or down with your keyboard up and down keys.
Enter Key – to open the selected option on the screen.
Spacebar – to select or unselect the checkbox.
