Speech on World Environment Day 5 June 2023
All respected dignitaries present here, Principal Sir, Madam and my dear colleagues. Best wishes to all of you on World Environment Day.
My name….I am a student of class…. Today we have come to discuss a serious topic. Actually, for some decades our environment is continuously getting polluted. Because of this everything including the animals and the climate living on it is getting polluted.
Due to this everyone’s existence is in danger. The only purpose of celebrating World Environment Day is to make people aware of it. So that people should plant more and more trees instead of cutting trees.
The way the country is developing, constructions are being done, instead of that many trees and plants are being cut in large quantities.
In such a situation, if these life-giving trees and plants do not remain, then how will we or our future generations live? In such a situation, we have to unite and take it seriously.
Our environment can be purified only by forest management, controlling greenhouse gas, using hydroelectric power plants or using solar energy.
Speech on World Environment Day #2
Good morning to Respected Principal, Teachers and my dear colleaguesÂ
Today I want to talk to you about World Environment Day. It is a special day celebrated across the world on 5th June. The main objective of World Environment Day is to make people aware of the importance of our earth’s resources and take care of our environment.
Our environment is really important to us. It gives us the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. It also helps control the weather and gives us a place to live.
Unfortunately, our environment is facing many challenges. Climate change, pollution and deforestation are some of the big problems that we need to solve.
Climate change occurs when harmful gases are released into the air, trapping heat and increasing the Earth’s temperature. It is already making significant changes to our environment and will continue to do so in the future.
Pollution occurs when harmful substances are released into the atmosphere, often from factories, cars, and power plants. Pollution can harm our health, damage ecosystems and make our air and water dirty.
Deforestation is deforestation. Forests are important because they provide us with oxygen, help regulate the climate and are home to many animals. When we cut down forests, it contributes to climate change and loss of animal habitats.
To protect our environment, we can:
Reduce our carbon footprint by using less energy, driving less, and eating less meat. Recycle and compost to reduce waste. Conserve water by taking fewer showers and fixing leaks.
Support sustainable businesses that make the environment a priority. These small acts can make a big difference in building a better future for our planet.
Thanks for listening. Let’s take a pledge to protect mother earth.
Speech on World Environment Day #3
Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,
I stand before you today, on this very special day – World Environment Day. This day has been set aside to remind us all about the importance of our environment. But I have a question – is one day enough to make up for all the harm we have caused to our environment?
People celebrate this day in many ways. Some plant trees, others clean up roads, and still others talk about new green technologies. But, let’s ask ourselves a question. Are we really practising these good habits every day? For many of us, the answer is probably “no”. We cannot heal our planet in just one day. We need to care for it every single day.
We have hurt our Earth. We see more pollution, our temperatures are rising, and our trees are disappearing. All of this is due to our lack of care for the environment.
So, on this World Environment Day, let’s not only talk about the harm we have done but also what we can do now to make things better. We all can help – as individuals, as a community, as a school. We can’t wait for someone else to solve these problems. Each of us can make a difference through our everyday actions.
Now is the time for every one of us to step up and take responsibility. It is our duty to give a healthy, clean planet to the next generation, so they can have a better life.
So let’s start today. Let’s make every day an Environment Day. Thank you.
