Schools in Rajasthan and Delhi Face CBSE Action for Violating Crucial Regulations
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken strong action after its surprise inspections at 27 schools in Rajasthan and the NCT of Delhi. During these inspections, several violations of the Board’s Bye-Laws were found, specifically related to enrollment and attendance practices.
The inspections revealed that schools had enrolled a higher number of students in Classes XI and XII who were not physically attending classes. Discrepancies in the attendance records were also noted, raising concerns about the schools’ compliance with CBSE regulations. Additionally, some institutions were found violating infrastructural norms, impacting the quality of education and student safety.
In response, CBSE has issued show-cause notices to the 27 schools—22 in the regions of Delhi and 5 from the Ajmer region. These notices require schools to provide clarifications on their enrollment practices, infrastructural adherence, and compliance with Board norms.
CBSE remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of education and will continue to rigorously monitor compliance across all its institutions.
