National Technology Week Commemorates 25th Anniversary of National Technology Day 2023
CBSE Circular: The Indian Government has declared May 11th as “National Technology Day” since 1999. It is the celebration of the 25th anniversary of National Technology Day. Indian government has decided to celebrate “National Technology Week” from May 11th to May 14th, 2023.
The Technology event’s aim is to showcase the scientific advancements and technological breakthroughs that have taken place since 2014.
National Technology Week Event Details
The theme of the event is “School to Start-Up – Igniting Young Minds to Innovate.” The event will feature students from schools across India participating in the Atal Tinkering Labs, run by the Atal Innovation Mission of the Government of India.
The students will showcase their technological innovations in Hall No. 4 of Pragati Maidan in Delhi. In addition, participants and exhibitors from 12 ministries of the Indian Government will also showcase a wide range of scientific innovations in Hall No. 4 and 5A of Pragati Maidan in Delhi.
Inauguration and Exhibition of National Technology Week EventÂ
The Technology Day’s exhibition event will be inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister on May 11th, 2023. The National Technology Day exhibition will be open to the general public and students from May 11th (starting at 3:00 pm) until May 13th (ending at 5:00 pm).
Enriching and Inspirational Experience
This National Technology event is expected to be an enriching and inspirational experience for the students and attendees. This Event will provide a platform for young minds to showcase their technological innovations and connect with experts and professionals in the field.
The <“National Technology Week”> will also highlight the importance of technology and its impact on the future of the nation.
In view of the above, the following may be noted:
1. All the schools may celebrate ‘National Technology Week’ on their campus by organizing various activities such as quiz competitions, poster-making competitions, essay writing competitions etc.
2. The schools located in the Delhi-NCR area may also plan a visit of students and teachers to this exhibition from 11th May 2023 (3:00 pm onwards) to 13th May 2023 (5:00 pm).
