CBSE Budding Authors Programme: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the ‘CBSE Budding Authors Programme’ on the second anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Under the National Policy on Education (NEP) 2020, CBSE has collaborated with Central Square Foundation, Pratham Books Storyweaver and National Book Trust to make learn-to-read to read-to-learn meaningful and motivate students to read and write. Together, the Budding Author program has been started.
On the occasion of the second anniversary of the NEP 2020, CBSE announces the CBSE Budding Authors Programme in partnership with Central Square Foundation, Pratham Books StoryWeaver, and National Book Trust.Â
The CBSE Budding Authors Programme aims at helping students learn to read and write different types of stories effectively. The participating students will get a chance to express their own written short stories, express their ideas and publish them. For this, CBSE has issued a Circular Letter to all the schools asking them to motivate the students to participate.
CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2022 for Classes 5 to 10 Students
In the second phase of the CBSE Budding Authors Programme, the registration process will start on the technology platform on September 16. For this, schools will be able to register shortlisted students (2 winners from each category). Per school (maximum 6 students) can register for it. The login ID will be provided to them on the link of the program. In the second category, the stories sent by the students will be selected by the expert panel.
CBSE Budding Authors Programme will be conducted at the school level
The school will organize CBSE Budding Authors Programme at its level from August 24 to September 16. To coordinate this activity, 1 teacher will be nominated, who will share information with the students. Teachers and students can register on the CBSE Reading Mission platform. Hindi/English/language teachers will encourage students to read at least 7 stories (available in the school library or on the CBSE Reading Mission platform) and help them to participate in this activity.
Students will get one week to prepare and read stories. After this, a CBSE Budding Author Competition will be organized for the students at the school level and the students will be asked to write the story in Hindi or English language in the given time. 2 students from each category will be selected to participate in the further rounds.
The students can submit their stories in Hindi or English in the following three categories:

Schools shall organise the CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2022 at their end from 24th August 2022 to 16th September 2022. Schools to nominate 01 teachers to coordinate this activity. Sharing of information about this activity to all students.Â

- Contest on the Technology Platform
