CBSE has given students one extra day to apply for scanned answer books. The board has also clarified how students can apply for re-evaluation and verification after receiving scanned copies.
CBSE has extended the last date for applying for scanned copies of Class 12 answer books. Students can now apply till 24 May 2026 through the official CBSE portal.
The board extended the deadline after many students faced problems on the CBSE website. Heavy traffic and technical issues affected the portal during the application process. CBSE said the extension will help students complete their applications without problems.
Earlier the last date was 23 May 2026. The board has now given students one more day to apply.
CBSE also said students will get up to two days after receiving their scanned answer sheets to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation.
Students who want scanned copies must apply themselves through the official portal at pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/. CBSE will upload the scanned copy in the student’s login account and students can download it from there.
The board will provide scanned copies on a first come first served basis. Students who apply earlier will receive their copies earlier.

Students will also get up to two days after receiving the scanned copy to apply for Verification/Re-evaluation.

Students can apply for one or multiple subjects together. However they must complete the application in one attempt.
After checking the scanned copy students can decide whether they want to apply for verification or re-evaluation.
Only students who apply for scanned copies can apply for re-evaluation later. CBSE will update the status of requests in the student’s login account.
The board also said marks may increase or decrease after re-evaluation. The final result after re-evaluation will remain final and students cannot request another review after that.
