This affiliation brings about important changes for the students of CBSE-affiliated schools who participate in sports events at various levels.

CBSE as an Affiliated Unit of SGFI:

From the academic year 2024-25 onwards, winners of the CBSE National Games will be eligible to participate in the SGFI National School Games. This new affiliation aims to provide a broader platform for student-athletes, enhancing their exposure and opportunities at a national level.

Warning Against Misleading Sports Organizations:

Schools are advised to avoid any association with the CBSE-WSO and not to participate in any events organized by them. Participation in such events may lead to actions against the concerned school.

Schools should verify any communication regarding sports events through the official CBSE website (https://cbseit.in/cbse/2023/sports).
